MOTHER FIRE AND TIME

“Tales from War Masters”

“The surroundings are clean, there is no problem in the worst 5 kilometers area. Turn up the fire, I froze a little here..."

Eda quickly sat down next to the fire. Thank you to the coalition for appointing someone who is not used to the cold to the Central Asian steppes. I threw another handful of twigs into the fire and lay down on the ground. It was my first time looking at the sky without light pollution.

“Have we really been missing this beauty all these years? “Wow.”

“Speak for yourself. "What I wouldn't give to lie on a beach right now."

“Can't you be a little optimistic? "We are on watch at the bottom."

“Uh-huh, of course. "We're on guard duty for a mythological machine that we don't even know is real."

“Od han is real. "Just last week, Murat was appointed there again."

“Omer, do you seriously never question the coalition?”

“Our first mission was to repair and interrogate an old war robot. Then we encountered a toad that appears every 150 years, and then we had an argument with a turtle who thought he was a lawyer, not to mention the rabbit who called himself a liberal. "I don't know what to question anymore, so I choose to believe directly."

While Eda continued to talk, I continued to drink my tea without paying any attention. When he realized that I wasn't paying attention, he threw a hard stone at my head. When I responded with a small stone, he got angry and went to his tent. He's cute sometimes when he's angry.

“Yes, ladies and gentlemen, our toilet pit is complete. The hill on the right, a hundred meters west. Is there any tea left?

“Come, come, it's just brewed.”

When I reached for the teapot, it suddenly disappeared. I took a quick look at Serdar and called out to Eda. There was no answer. Serdar directly aimed his gun and I dived directly into the tent. Eda was curled up in a white spot, trembling. I immediately checked his wrists.

“SERDAR, BREAK THE SEAL IN THE FIELDS AREA!”

After wrapping the nearby blanket around Eda, I took my rifle and helped Serdar to break the seals of the tents and the camp. Every time I broke the seal, the screams spread around, disrupting the fire and our equipment.

“Where is the last seal? Where is the last seal?”

“I don't know, didn't Eda put the seals?”

“Didn't you touch it last?”

“I didn't even touch the seals. "I'm the only soldier left from esoteric training."

“Maybe it's above Eda. "Increase the fire quickly."

“Someone has to catch the demons.”

“You will only put down your gun for ten seconds, come on!”

I stormed into the tent and ripped off Eda's vest. When I lifted his collar slightly, I tore off the seal hanging around his neck and tore it in half. I waited for the sounds to decrease, but in vain. I threw the pieces into the fire because I thought it wouldn't be possible without throwing them into the fire.

“Did they leave?”

“Do you hear screaming?”

“Not on this side. I think it's over.”

“Eda? How is that?”

“It will be better in the morning. "It's okay.",

After the last seal, the fire suddenly flared up and turned from orange to green. When the flames grew taller than both of us, we fell back. I'm sure no demon could leave such an impact. As the flames got higher and hotter, the handle of my gun melted in my hand. Serdar also threw his rifle into the fire. The bullets in the magazine melted before they could explode due to heat. While trying to reach the fire extinguisher as a last resort, we saw Eda forcibly removing the fires from inside the tent. “Od mother Od mother Od mother hear my voice!” he repeated quickly and harshly.

“What should we do, should we do it again?”

“No, of course, go get the fire extinguisher.”

I quickly prepared the fire extinguisher and sprayed it on the flames. Where did Serdar stay?

“Did you throw the fire extinguisher into the flames?”

“Maybe it will fade quickly?”

“There's pressure inside him, idiot!”

The flames, fueled by pressure, were coming towards us. I could see that Eda was having a hard time. Think fast, how do you get someone up quickly? Adrenaline of course! I took the adrenaline shot from the first aid kit before my bag melted. I took the needle to Eda, hunched over, in my hands to prevent it from melting. I've never done anything like this before. Without thinking, I stuck the needle into Eda's leg. When Eda screamed in pain, the flames first rose and then began to decrease. Eda was reciting the prayer louder and taking the flames under control. When the strength of the flames decreased, we poured the only water source we had directly onto the fire. When that wasn't enough, Serdar started throwing soil non-stop with a big shovel. So I kicked the stones around the fire and made them fall onto the fire. After fifteen minutes, the fire went out with a "poof" sound and our electricity and radios started working again. I went to Serdar and gave him a high five.

“Let me put the idea into your mind. What kind of logic does it make to throw a pressurized cylinder into a fire?

“Please don't ask questions. "I'm having a seizure right now in all that armor."

“Let me see you. "You're fine, drink some water and you'll come to your senses."

I took off Serdar's armor and put it on his bedside table. I sprinkled some water on her face and turned to Eda. Half of his body was sticking out of the tent and looking at me angrily. I got up and sat next to him, turned him on his back and looked at his fever and the wound on his wrist.

“You forgot to take out the needle, you idiot!”

“Oh, I'm sorry. You're okay, your fever isn't as deep as a normal wrist cut. "I'll do a little cleaning and wrap it."

“Which of you dug the demon's nest?”

I knew the answer very clearly, but for the love of my life, I dismissed it as "I don't know." Eda continued to complain, and again, without paying attention, I cleaned her wound and cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide one last time before bandaging it. Just as she was about to scream, I put a cloth in Eda's mouth and she responded by punching me in the stomach. Hunched over, I wrapped his wrist and took the cloth out of his mouth.

“We will freshen the bandage in the morning and continue like that.”

“I can't hate you, Omer.”

“The message is clear, don't worry.”

“Yes, friends, Turan saw the flames. When he could not reach him via radio, he left the guard post. He said that while we were dealing with the flame, some demons entered the cave ahead. In this situation, none of us can do anything, so we fire a firecracker in the morning and ask for help from the Coalition. Is it appropriate?

“Have all the radios melted? "Shortwave must be on."

“You should be in the tent, Serdar, take a look.”

When Serdar entered his tent, I carried Eda on my back and laid her down on her overalls in her tent.

“Try not to move and let me know if you experience any pain. "Don't go straight to the painkillers because I brought the heavy ones."

“Serdar dug the nest, didn't he?”

“I told you, girl, I don't know. "They entered the nearby cave. We'll go and see tomorrow morning, maybe it's the cave where Murat is."

I placed a wet cloth on Eda's forehead and left the tent. Serdar had set up the short wave and was already talking to other team members. I could also hear Murat's voice from there.

“Tomorrow morning we will enter the cave where the demons entered. Tell Turan and Olcay to meet us at the cave. Kartal-1 is debuting.”

While Serdar changed the frequency and informed the others, I went to my tent and searched for my belongings that had survived the fire. Apart from most of my clothes and a first aid kit or two, nothing else was burned. I asked Serdar for an extra rifle and tucked it into the side of my overalls. I'd better pay a visit to the latrine before I go to sleep.

“Which way was the hole?”

“The first hill you see on the right after 100 meters west.”

Thank you, I started to relax. Since the pit is a little downhill, it is difficult to keep balance, but it is manageable. I finished the job and returned to the camp before the animals or Eda started to swarm me. Serdar had lit the fire again and was smoking a cigarette on his head.

“Didn't you quit? "How are you going to run around in all that armor?"

“The answer is simple, I won't run around. "I will make the enemy unable to run directly."

For some reason, his answer didn't please me at all. He was having a lot of fun, though. Something inside me was telling me we should run tomorrow. I took the other teapot out of Serdar's bag and left it to brew a new tea. I never even noticed Turan coming. He and Serdar were sitting side by side and talking about guns again. I sat in front of them and listened to their conversation. Since insomnia was not good for me, I cleaned the glass and went straight to bed. I woke up in the morning to the sound of our very “safe” helicopter. If Olcay wasn't ashamed, he would land the helicopter on my head. After the breakfast murmuring from the whole team, the whole team, except Murat, proceeded to the cave where the demons entered. We were at the cave entrance around noon.

“Now it was going to be a pastry with minced meat like this…”

“Two liters of hot tea with it.”

“Turan, please silence them, they are making me even hungrier.”

“By the way, where is Murat?”

“Murat informed me while he was in the air that he had already entered. The cave was connected to the market area where we found Od Han. "Your machine was there too."

We left our belongings with Olcay and entered the cave without any willingness to help. Am I too late to tell the team about my claustrophobia? God knows how many hours later we arrived at the market entrance. We could see Murat. He was lying in the hammock he set up between two street lamps. He still had those militarist books in his hand. When he noticed us, he forced himself out of the hammock and straightened up.

“Where is the other team? "Why did the coalition send you apprentices?"

“They are touring with MKG. Olcay is waiting for us outside.”

Eda was explaining the situation and what we had experienced last night, but I was behind playing a little game of rock paper scissors with Serdar. You know how when you look into the dark you think someone is watching you? Or suddenly a tremor comes to your body... That's what I felt in the middle of the third lap. Before we knew what was happening, something big came down from the ceiling, right in front of us. When I pulled Eda out of my way and fired, I saw her in front of me. He slowly raised his hand and moved my gun away from his face. He spat the bullet in his mouth onto the ground.

“Oh yes, Victor is here too. "Turan must have said it."

This was not the old robot we released last time. It was something completely different, completely black. He now had a face. He had a more humanoid face. He held out his hand as he slowly put my gun into my holster. I didn't do anything wrong, did I?

“Misunderstandings like this happen… Ömer. I assume you are the team's medic?"

“Don't get me wrong, it's all a matter of reflex. It's never happened before. Would you believe it?”

“Calm down, as I said, these things happen. "They seem like very decent people, Murat. I don't understand why you are obsessed with them being apprentices."

“It's an old habit, don't get involved there. "Omer, I hope you won't leave the man's hand hanging in the air?"

When a flame comes out from one side of a person, everything is forgotten. After a quick greeting, Victor led us through the side streets to the main machine Od Inn. A machine suspended in the air in a high-roofed room. It was like something out of science fiction. When I wanted to touch it, as every sensible person does, Victor blocked it. Of course I didn't object.

“Don't worry, you'll know when it's time to touch.”

I muttered quietly and went to Serdar to take out the things. I saw Victor leaving the machine and going to Turan. Eda was also working on a few seals with Murat.

“Why did we come here?”

“Well, I was told to find out why Od Han was created.”

“Well, why are we there at the machine? Shouldn't we visit other areas?

I started to stare at Serdar. Every once in a while he could stop fooling around and actually think logically. After setting up the laser microscope and setting up the tables and radio, I asked Murat the same question. Of course, there were objections at first, but when they both finally gave their approval, we split into teams of two. As expected, I was on the same team as Victor. We split into the main directions, then when we learned that the South side was closed, Turan wanted to stay behind. We left the main room and entered smaller streets. It was more of a street with small houses and carpenters than a market area. Only my rifle's flashlight illuminated the surroundings.

“For now, there are only the old guards. What you need to target is the red button that appears when their armor is unlocked. If you shoot more than once, they will be ineffective.”

This man's calmness is starting to bore me. He neither takes a gun nor keeps his guard ready. He was coming after me with his hands tied behind his back.

“So what else can we find?”

“The last time I left there were mines, rope traps, turrets, more guards on the road. Oh! We are talking about 100-150 years ago here. "Nothing will happen."

“You are extremely comfortable compared to your old self. I remember the day we brought you to headquarters. You were pretty lost compared to your current state.”

“That's the beauty of Od Han. He said he would help me and when I woke up, boom! New body, new abilities... They told me that you believe in Od Han. Is it true?"

“After dealing with the rabbit, I now believe in everything. When I heard about a Gokturk-made Prometheus who could see the past and the future like Od Han, I didn't find it strange at all. Is the rabbit yours?”

“It counts, of course, if you accept adoption as belonging.”

“Did you adopt or are you up to something?”

“I'm not going to lie, I might have done something a little bit to get those two. “They remind me that sometimes animals are more trustworthy than humans.”

When we got to the end of the street we couldn't find anything. I was seriously looking for something to take home. I entered one of the houses. The items inside looked as if they had been newly placed. There were no mummies or corpses around.

“Will we have any luck at home?”

"Why not? You search this blog and I'll look to the left. You can take care of yourself, right?”

“Of course I can take a look. “I am one of the best soldiers in the coalition.”

“If it had happened to me, I wouldn't have expressed those kinds of feelings. After all, Od Han hasn't tested anyone in years.”

"What?"

When I turned around he wasn't there. When I looked at the houses on the left block, there were none. There are those fishermen in every movie, they make two philosophies and go away. That's how it disappeared in an instant. I kept searching the right block. Broken jars, rusted beds, everything worn over the years were here. The house at the end of the block was larger than the others. It wasn't even a house, it was a library. Even though the covers of the books were worn, the writings on the papers were as solid as if they had been written yesterday. I left my bag at the doorway and picked up one of the books.

“Wheel 101 huh?”

At first I thought it was a book about a standard machine, but the book was about the Wheel Syndicate founded during the time of HighStale. I leaned my back against the shelves and started reading. Since the author's name was erased, I couldn't focus on the book much, so I threw it next to my bag and continued to examine the shelves. There was no important book except the book of the Wheel. While I was examining the shelves upstairs, a hum grazed my face. When I looked through the books, the hum came out again. I forced the shelf back and pressed my ear to the wall. I heard low gunfire and scribbling. I slowly drew my gun and brought it to the ready position. While examining the wall silently, I felt that the wood in the corner was slightly ajar.

“Put down the pen! "Lie down on the ground right now."

There was no light or scribbling sounds inside. Inside the dark room, there was a very large tablet in a box filled with light beams from the Machine. I lifted the tablet with my left hand. There was something written on it in Gokturkish. I tried to roughly translate it, but the words were too messy and incomprehensible. I shouldered the tablet and went downstairs to my bag.

"Who are you? Raise your hands.”

“Calm down, Omer, it's me, Victor. "You found my book, I was reading it."

“Please don't disappear and appear at such a moment. “I have a trigger finger that itches very easily.”

“Does this place look familiar to you?”

“How come?”

“How did you find the location of the library?”

“It was the first building I came across after scanning the right block.”

“Not in that sense, the first thing I noticed when you walked in was that you left your bag at the entrance. Do you have such confidence in a building you have never examined?

“From that perspective, yes, it actually looked a bit familiar.”

Victor continued reading the book. Then he created a pen and started writing the next page. I put the gun in its holster and cleaned the top of the tablet.

“Oh, you passed the test.”

“Is it that easy?”

“You found a memory created by Od Han. Was it difficult or easy?

“After a while, the floors seemed endless, but I said never mind and continued climbing. Finally I found this tablet. Can you translate?

“No, my Gokturkish has become very dull now. If there's a witch on your team, she can read it.”

I tucked the tablet into my bag and came back to the main machine with Victor. Serdar and Murat came to the machine with us.

“If I remember correctly, the things were in good condition before we left, how suddenly they turned into shabby things.”

“Od Han tests people in various ways. If you pass it gives you a memory and if you stay it leaves you in a loop. This test is not for philosophical or rigid things such as the purpose of life, but rather to test the desire to survive and the fight or flight instinct within. By choosing to move forward, you showed that you were actually fighting, but by leaving your bag behind, you remained in that seemingly endless cycle because you reduced your chances of survival.”

Serdar and Murat were engrossed in talking near the microscope, and Turan was on a roof looking around. I chose a corner to set up a small infirmary for myself. A tarpaulin, a blanket, medical bags lined up on a rock I picked up from the road... Hours must have passed. Why isn't Eda around? I left the infirmary and found Turan.

“Did you see Eda?”

“The last time I saw him was when everyone was scattering, he hasn't returned from the west since then.”

“Was there anyone with you?”

“No, he went alone.”

“WELL DONE A…”

My thoughts started to move in a monotonous manner. Take the gun, take the bag, turn on the night vision... Murat stopped me as I was going to the west side.

“Where to lion?”

“Eda has been gone for hours. Someone has to find him.”

Murat paused as if he was trying to remember something. There's no time, keep going. I got into a shooting position and quickly entered the west bank. Small houses and shops were no different from our side. Apart from that, there was a strange mechanical sound. Like a metal wheel rolling. The details were passing through my brain and coming out of my ear, I could feel that flow. I froze when I heard gunshots. Shots and mechanical sounds were getting louder, but I couldn't move. I came to my senses when I was grabbed by something and thrown to one side. Eda was making a silence sign with her hand, while keeping my mouth shut. The shooting sounds had stopped and the sounds of mechanics had reached us. When I lifted my head slightly, I saw the guards Victor was talking about. Long and thin metal skeletons and thick shields on their limbs. A glowing dot above his head must be the button Victor was talking about. After a while they left us. When Eda took her hand off my mouth, I could finally breathe properly.

“They are sensitive to sound, they are bulletproof, they never run out of bullets and…”

Eda was holding her stomach, she was breathing hard and her hands were shaking. He was shot.

“Come on. "Let's go into the shop."

We picked him up and entered the store from behind the counter. I put together a couple of tables with one hand and made a makeshift stretcher.

“Calm down, try taking deep breaths. You've been shot, I'll take the bullet out and do a little cauterization. "You shouldn't shout."

When Eda moaned in pain, I got even more worried and covered her mouth with the cloth in the bag. I take off his vest and clothes, examine the wound and fix the wounds. 3 big bullet wounds, thank God it went through.

“We don't need to bother with good lead. "Now I take the diaper and give you alcohol instead, so you don't scream."

Instead of diapers, I gave him vodka. I examined the inside of the wound with tweezers and scissors. Only arteries with damaged muscles are stable. The coalition has a little mix prepared for such situations. I crushed a few medicines in the bag with my wrist, poured some pure water on it, and then quickly poured it into the wounds. Within seconds, the medicine took effect and filled the wounds with foam. I took the vodka from Eda's hand, took a quick sip, poured it on the wounds and started stitching them. While I was stitching up the last wound, the sound of wheels started to be heard again. They were coming towards our shop.

“Are they machines?”

“No, no, Victor just takes out the excess afterwards. "You keep drinking and praying."

Without shaking my hand or rushing, I hurried and threaded the thread onto the needle. First I felt a quick buzz and then a feeling of warmth. My thoughts fell back into monotony, needle okay, wound clean, inhale exhale, inhale? I understood the situation when the pain penetrated my body. I was shot in my lower left back. The machines were randomly opening fire on the shop. I shielded myself over Eda and started to close the wound. One, two, three, four my consciousness should not have been turned off.

“Your hands are working, Eda, keep them away.”

"How? They are bulletproof.”

“Red button... Red button. Shoot there.”

Another wave of pain hit my body as I felt my gun come out of my holster. I started counting again. Two, three, four, five… When I stitched up the last wound, I threw myself on the ground. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in… The voices began to drown out. Eda was using a table as a shelter and was shooting with her head and one hand. I reached into the bag and shot him another shot of adrenaline. At least that's what I thought. Adrenaline slipped out of my hand before I could lift it into the air and rolled towards the machines.

“Oh my luck…”

“Don't try to get out!”

Breathe, stand up, run! I threw myself forward, caught the adrenaline and threw it at Eda, and I couldn't even get up from the ground. The machines broke down the wall and entered. I was just lying on the ground. I turned towards the machines. I reached for the grenade attached to my bandolier. The voices began to drown out again. Next to the gunshots, I heard someone shouting no. The gunshots stopped for a moment and my vision became blurry. I stopped holding my wound and held the pin with my other hand.

“Everyone to whom our sword lies.”

When I pulled the pin and released the bomb, it disappeared without touching the ground. I closed my eyes. Mechanical and gun sounds increased. Something heavy was falling on me. Breathe in, breathe out. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Victor near the collapsed wall. The octopus was tearing apart two guards with its arms. One by one, he was tearing off their arms and then their heads. When he destroyed the last guard, he turned to me.

“Eda, bring your bag, get your adrenaline. Carefully right here. The bullet is still inside him. Bring the alcohol.”

Eda left the bag by my bedside. Take a breath. Victor inserted one of the octopus arms into the wound. I didn't feel any pain or ache. Exhale. Eda was constantly pouring alcohol on the wound, creating a tingling sensation around the wound. He was mumbling something but I couldn't understand. Breathe, Victor had managed to remove the bullet from the wound. He burned the end of one of the other arms. He examined my bag before cauterizing the wound.

“Mixture form…formula. In the front pocket.”

I closed my eyes. Exhale. The tingling sensation was now below the waist. Rustling and the sound of the flame could still be heard. I was starting to relax. I tried to hold on.

“It will only hurt for two seconds, Ömer. Just two.”

One two three four! I opened my eyes suddenly and Victor was cauterizing the wound. Was he cauterizing the wound or welding metal? The relaxation suddenly went away and so did the tingling! I grabbed Victor's arm and started squeezing it.

“Okay, okay, it's over, it's over. Take it seriously. Take care of him. “I will make a stretcher from the guards.”

Eda took my hand away from Victor and started holding it herself. He was praying a prayer that I still couldn't understand. While he was praying, he was stroking the wound that Victor had “boiled” with his other hand. I soon noticed the stretcher being built. Victor pushed Eda away, lifted me with his octopus arms and loaded me onto the stretcher. He put my belongings on one side of the stretcher in the same way.

“Continue your prayers, stay behind me and please don't make a sound.”

My vision and hearing were improving. Eda was praying to both Erlik Han and Ülgen at the same time. Green and orange roots formed in his hand over my wound, coming out of his fingers and joining around the wound. It seemed like the whole incident had lasted more than six seconds.

“What happened to the bomb?”

The explosion sound that came right after my question answered my question.

“This happened.”

I noticed the cloud of dust rising from behind the store we were just in. A few minutes later we arrived at the Machine. Victor was giving orders to the nation. He wanted the microscope to be collected, Olcay to be informed, and Serdar to hold one end of the stretcher. Serdar and Murat were holding the stretcher. We were leaving the cave quickly. The lights came and went. We were already in the helicopter when he arrived. We took off convulsively.

“Victor, what did I get hit with?”

“The guards carry a special kind of bullet, they use the machine to protect it from witches. It didn't affect Eda, but it left a severe poisonous and piercing effect on you. "The bullet didn't cause much damage to the organs, but the poison is still in his body."

“Oh, how good. How many hours do I have?”

“Last ten minutes. Eda, do you know a disruptive prayer?

Eda shook her head no in shock. Could the tablet be writing?

“Victor tablet. Show him the tablet.”

Victor quickly took the tablet out of the bag and showed it to Eda. Eda was reading the tablet seriously. The turbulence tablet suddenly hit the helicopter, causing it to fall to the ground and break.

“You're kidding, right?”

“Okay, we'll go improvisational. Olcay! When do we get to base?”

“Last half hour. “We are going to mobile.”

“Sit in your seats, fasten your seat belts, put on your oxygen masks, I will remove the cargo door of the helicopter and try to perform a makeshift dialysis.”

"What?"

Shaken, Eda sat at my bedside and placed the mask on my face. Victor put the pieces of the tablet into a bag and began to dismantle the door with his octopus arms. The wind coming in was tearing my face. While I was covering my eyes with my hand, Eda grabbed my hand and moved it away from my face. When I turned my face to Victor again, he had prepared the dialysis. He had two large hoses in his hand. Victor opened his helmet and turned to me.

“It will hurt very little.”

He stuck two hoses into the bullet wounds at once. I could see my blood flowing through the hoses. It was greener than usual. The feeling of pain hit later. My scream was muffled inside the mask.

“This should hold us for about half an hour. "Eda, take care of the monitor, I will try to increase our speed."

I threw my head back and started breathing rapidly. The pain gradually decreased and then disappeared completely. When I brought my hand to the hoses, I noticed blood coming from the wounds. A few drops of blood probably won't do anything. I stared at the ceiling for about ten minutes, and heard the helicopter slow down with a loud thud. With Eda's help, I sat up and looked outside. I was relieved when I saw Orion's paramedics. Victor took me off the dialysis machine and handed me to the paramedics.

“Wasn't the journey very short?”

Eda's answer scared me a little.

“You fainted half an hour ago. Now you just woke up. Don't worry, dialysis worked. Now we will stitch his wounds back together and break his curse with the witches. Close your eyes for now.”

It was more than a little scary. Just being with witches seemed scary to most people. I lifted my head from the stretcher and looked at Victor. He had welded himself to the helicopter's rotors. After a bright flash, he stepped off the helicopter and fell to his knees. When Murat reached out for help, he grabbed him by the arm and forced him to stand up. Before I could see the rest, one of the witches laid my head back on the stretcher and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes again, I was in a hospital room. Eda and Victor were in the room. I could see that Eda was sleeping. Noticing that I was awake, Victor sat on the couch next to me.

"Welcome to the club. Your heart stopped twice during the lifting of the curse.”

“You're kidding, aren't you?”

“The ECG report says the opposite. But you've fully recovered. Eda is fine, don't worry. Your first aid saved him.”

“Another life was saved. Thank you for being my companion.”

“Oh no, it's not me, Eda, it's your companion. The coalition doesn't even know I'm here. You made a great sacrifice by throwing yourself in front of the machines there. Odhan will not leave this unanswered. "If anyone asks, you didn't see me."

Victor closed his helmet and suddenly left the vent. When I put my head on the pillow and tried to sleep, I didn't have much difficulty. Odhan will not leave it unrequited. When I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital room again, but Eda was not there. Most of the hoses on me were removed and only my serum remained. I forced myself out of bed and went out into the corridor.

“Eda! Nurse. Is anyone there?"

There was no sound, light was filtering from under a room across the corridor. I staggered to the door and opened it. The inside of the room opened onto a meadow.

“Okay, I'm in a dream. But why am I conscious?”

I entered the room and walked a little across the meadow. Two people were sitting under a large pine tree and looking at me. I went and sat next to them.

“Let me guess, Odhan?”

“You're close. Odhan told us about his sacrifice today. That is, to us.”

“Then you…?”

“Mother Od and Od Od.”

“It is true to say, Mother Fire and Time.”

“Take this, it will help your people.”

He stuck a piece of paper into his apron pocket, and then the two of them stood up.

“Give us permission now.”

“We wish we had a chat or two.”

“To other times.”

Time and space suddenly stretched like rubber and woke me up from my dream. My sudden breathing woke Eda up.

“Okay, okay, it's over. “We are here.”

I took a big, long breath from the oxygen mask and relaxed.

“I will go and sign for you so that you can be discharged.”

Eda squeezed my shoulder lightly and left the room. I was left alone with my thoughts in the dimly lit room. I thought about the day, what I did. We waited in that steppe for two and a half months, and even though it was a bit harsh to be shot three times as a result, the memories I had were the best months I've ever had. Half an hour later, Eda came with a wheelchair and took me out of the room. As I was walking through the corridors, I remembered the paper I saw in my dream.
